Mark Illingworth - MD

Why I started the business:
I have always been the ‘Techy’ of the family; 'Gadget man' I was called! I had the very first Casio diary, the one to introduce the very first mobile phone into a company back in the mid 80's, then the first Smart Phone, O2 XDA 2002, then of course the revolutionary iPhone in 2006/7.

I first started the business after recognising the opportunity in the CCTV market. The future of this industry was moving over to new technologies, technologies that I was very familiar with. Right from the start I wanted to develop the Home Entertainment opportunities, at the time this was more commonly referred to as Multimedia; the roots of what you see today.

I wanted to play music around my house in a certain way but found that technology was not quite there yet, and what was available was beyond the reach of most peoples budgets. This drove me to turn my passion into a business.

What drives me:
New projects, new challenges, designing and building solutions that we can bring to a conclusion. Building this business and the people within it, so everyone can achieve their goal and objectives.

What am I passionate about:

Passion for what we do and what our industry can do for the modern home or place of work. We are in the era of integration, and that's what really excites me! Making sense of all these technologies and applying them to our customer projects.

Educating not only our customers but also our fellow industries. There is no greater pleasure than seeing a client happy and excited about what we have done for them.
